About Us

MIGUEL SERRANO

​

Miguel was born in Havana, Cuba, and entered the United States as a refugee at only 17 months. 

After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida in 1986, Miguel entered law school at Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts in 1989. He graduated with a Juris Doctor degree in 1992.

Miguel has been practicing law since the fall of 1992. 

Miguel began his legal career in the courtroom as a prosecutor. He then joined the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., and practiced complex commercial litigation involving large-scale government contracts and federal personnel issues.

Later, he served as Counsel to the Chairman of the United States Merit Systems Protection Board and as counsel to senior officials at the United States Department of State.

In 2005, Miguel opened his firm, the Law Office of Miguel A. Serrano and focuses the practice on immigration.
